An agreement has been signed on January 08, 2021 between China Aircraft Leasing Group Holdings and Commercial Aircraft Corporation of China (COMAC) for 60 ARJ21 planes.

According to the Leasing company, the airplanes will be sold to End Users from the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN).

The ARJ21 plane has seen a record high for annual delivery of 24 aircrafts in 2020. A total of 46 ARJ21 aircrafts have been delivered as of the end of 2020, according to COMAC.

The ARJ21 plane is a China-developed regional jetliner and has been into accelerated batch delivery and large-scale commercial operation. As of the end of 2020, ARJ21 jetliners have safely carried around 1.6 million passengers, COMAC said.

The ARJ21 was in commercial services first by Chengdu Airlines in June 2016. With a capacity of 78 to 90 seats and a range of 3,700 km, it can fly in alpine and plateau regions under different airport conditions.
